𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙨’ 𝙛𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚:

বয়স্ক ব্যক্তিদের হাড় ভাঙার মধ্যে সবচেয়ে বেশি পাওয়া যায় Colles’ fracture. বিশেষ করে যারা Postmenopausal women. তাদের bones সাধারণত Osteoporotic হয়ে থাকে৷
𝘼𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙢 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 1814, described 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙨’ 𝙛𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 as

“It is transverse fracture radius 2 cm proximal to the distal articular surface of the radius with dorsal displacement of the distal fragment.”

এই fracture এর কিছু Criteria আছে। যেমন-

★𝙿𝚘𝚜𝚝 𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚘𝚙𝚊𝚞𝚜𝚊𝚕 𝚠𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚗
★𝙾𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚘𝚙𝚘𝚛𝚘𝚝𝚒𝚌 𝚋𝚘𝚗𝚎
★𝙷𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚢 𝚘𝚏 𝚏𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚒𝚗 𝚘𝚞𝚝𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚎𝚝𝚌𝚑𝚎𝚍 𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚍 .

🄼🄴🄲🄷🄰🄽🄸🅂🄼 :

Outstretched hand অবস্থায় কেউ পড়ে গেলে বা

Forearm বরাবর force apply হলে সেটা extended wrist এ transmit হয়৷ এর ফলে Corticocancellous Junction এ fracture হয়।

🔘 𝘾𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨:

• 🔸𝘗𝘢𝘪𝘯
• 🔸𝘚𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨
• 🔸𝘋𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘪𝘧 𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘭 🔸𝘥𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 .
• 🔸𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘭𝘱𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦

🔘 Investigation :

➡️ X ray wrist both A/P & lateral view including distal radius & ulna ( transverse fracture of the radius at cortico cancellous Junction)
➡️ CT scan if X ray can’t confirm the fracture.

🔘 Treatment :

যদি Displaced না হয়ঃ-

• Dorsal splint/ cast / short arm posterior cast for 4 to 6 week.
• 6 week পর cast খুলে দেয়া হয় এবং Joint হালকা movement করতে বলা হয় যাতে Joint stiff না হয়ে যায়।
  যদি Displaced হয়ঃ-
• Close reduction under general anesthesia or regional anesthesia.
• Traction & counter traction followed by colles’ plaster for 6 week.

Precaution: Close monitoring if there is any Cyanosis or not.

• 6 week পর Plaster খুলে physiotherapy দিতে হবে।

🟩Complications:

🔰 Early:
▪️Injury to radial artery
▪️Carpal tunnel syndrome
▪️Reflex sympathetic dystrophy
▪️Shoulder hand syndrome
▪️Redisplacement
🔰 Late:
▪️Malunion
▪️Delayed union or non- union
▪️Stiffness
▪️Secondary osteoarthritis
